APPLICATIONS

This OEM PCB was designed to allow a number of standard EMCO CA series high voltage power supplies to be controlled via a simple SPI interface.  An additional SPI channel in conjunction to an ADC chip allows the PSU monitor to be interrogated. Ideal when used in conjunction with our PIN receiver board for fluorescence detection and other high sensitivity work.

 

DESCRIPTION

Initially designed to allow a simple SPI based interface to control the output of a EMCO CA series high voltage power supply this circuit can be used to control most (with simple modifications) high voltage supplies used in APD biasing.  Designed to work in conjunction with our PIN photo-receiver circuit to provide a simple high sensitivity optical receiver the board contains suitable signal buffering and a separate logic power supply in order to act as a self contained OEM module. The high voltage output is provided via a BNC output connector.
